Why?
As a local mobile mechanic, I often spoke to my customers about their children’s cars. A lot of parents were concerned about the limited knowledge they had when it came to their vehicles, whether it be understanding warning lights, checking fluid levels or knowing when and why we service cars.
This is where the idea for Car Essentials By QuikServe was born.
Learning the basics on how to maintain your vehicle can keep you and your passengers safe, and also avoid costly repairs.
Who?
Matt Ford is the Director of QuikServe Mobile Mechanic and Car Essentials By QuikServe. He has over 15 years experience in the trade. Matt was also a Student Soccer Coach and has taught in schools and addressed assembly’s for a number of years.
What?
Car Essentials By Quikserve is a 5 week course, approx. 1 hour per week after school. The students will learn the basics of how to maintain a vehicle including.
How to check fluid levels
How to change a tyre and check tyre pressure
What warning lights mean
What to do in an emergency
When to see a mechanic
All material is online and can be accessed during and after the course for future reference.
Cost?
Our prices are $125 for 5 weeks ($25 per session)
Where?
Depending on the schools location, sessions are generally conducted in the schools carpark or suitable surrounding area.
